Domain Value Calculator

Calculate what a domain is worth from what comparable domains actually sold for. Type a name, get a deterministic valuation with the working shown - free to start, no card needed.

Calculate a domain's value

The same domain always returns the same price - no randomness, no time-of-day drift.

How the calculation works

Instead of a black-box score, every valuation is built from published parts:

Check the method before you trust the number

  1. The valuation factors and methodology - every factor the model counts, with the parameter sheet published.
  2. Measured accuracy - the model is back-tested against held-out real sales; median error and hit rates are public, not asserted.

What the calculator uses as inputs

Only the name itself. It does not ask for traffic, revenue or a self-reported asking price, because none of those are visible to a buyer judging the name cold. From the name alone it scores the eight factors and matches the closest comparable recorded sales; the report shows both, so the calculation can be checked line by line.

Why is the result a range instead of one number?

Because a single point number overstates certainty. Every result is a low, fair and high interval with a confidence reading, and the report says which comparable sales the range rests on. Two names with the same fair value can have very different ranges: one backed by many close sales, the other by few.

Is the calculation deterministic?

Yes. The same domain always returns the same figures at a given methodology revision - there is no randomness and no time-of-day drift - so a value can be reproduced and checked later, and a certificate issued on it can be verified by anyone.

How wrong is the calculator, on average?

The measured error distribution against held-out recorded sales - median error, hit rates within a factor of two and three, and bias - is published on the accuracy page and updated with each methodology revision. The site does not compress it into one accuracy percentage.

Prices on this site are model-derived estimates of what a domain would likely sell for, based on recorded sales. They are opinions, not certified appraisals, and not financial advice. The method - and how wrong it tends to be - is public.
