How the bracket decides
Every name you enter is appraised on its own first. The field is then sorted by appraised value, highest first, and paired in the standard tournament order - top seed against bottom seed - so the two strongest names can only meet in the final.
Each head-to-head is settled in three steps, in order. Value decides first. If two names value the same, the scored factors decide: length, TLD strength, brandability, keyword demand, pronounceability, memorability, search footprint, and legal clarity, with the name winning more of them advancing. If those tie too, a stable hash of the two names breaks it - so the result is still fixed, and still the same every time, rather than left to whichever name happened to be typed first.
A field that is not a power of two is padded with byes, given to the highest seeds. An entrant facing a bye advances without a match, so no strong name is knocked out by the shape of the bracket rather than by another name.
Nothing here reads the clock or a random number. That is the reason to run a bracket rather than ask for opinions: the same field always produces the same champion, and anyone can check it.

How do you decide which domain name is better?
Each name is appraised on its own with the same deterministic engine that powers every audit.domains report, then the two appraisals are compared. Value decides the match. When two names value the same, the engine falls back to the scored factors - length, TLD strength, brandability, keyword demand, pronounceability, memorability, search footprint, and legal clarity - and only then to a stable hash of the two names, so a match never comes down to chance.
Will the same set of domains always produce the same winner?
Yes. Nothing in the bracket reads the clock or a random number. The same field, entered in any order, seeds the same way and crowns the same champion every time you run it. That is the point of running it here rather than asking someone's opinion.
How many domains can I put in a bracket?
Two at minimum and sixteen at most. Duplicates and malformed entries are dropped before seeding, so a pasted list with repeats still runs.
What happens when I enter a number of domains that is not a power of two?
The field is padded to the next power of two with byes. A bye is an empty slot: the entrant facing it advances without a match, exactly as in a physical tournament bracket. Byes go to the highest-seeded names, so the strongest entrants are never eliminated by the shape of the bracket.
How are the domains seeded?
By appraised value, highest first, then paired one-versus-last in the standard tournament order. That means the top two seeds can only meet in the final.
Why does the bracket not show a dollar figure?

Is the bracket the same engine as the full appraisal?
It is the same engine and the same methodology revision. The bracket adds only the tournament on top: it does not re-weight, round, or adjust any appraisal to make a match closer.
