Where does a broker's asking price sit?
Enter the domain and the price you were quoted. For a name the site publishes, this page reads its published band and shows whether the ask is below, inside or above it. For any other name the engine runs in your browser. It describes the position; it does not tell you to buy or sell.
For example 4500, 4,500 or 4.5k

How the check works
The estimate comes from the same deterministic engine behind every audit.domains report, running in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server to price it, and the same name gives the same range every time.
The recorded sales are the closest matches in the sales record by structure: extension, word count and length. They are evidence for the range, not a quote for this name.
An asking price can be above a range for reasons the engine cannot see, such as a buyer in mind or a business built on the name. A position is a reference point for the conversation, not a verdict.
