Domain name generator
Type a niche or a few keywords. The generator composes brandable business names with a matching domain, checks DNS across the whole candidate pool, and ranks the names that look unregistered first, with the same deterministic engine behind every audit.domains appraisal. It runs in your browser and uses no appraisal credit.
How the generator works
Your keywords are split into roots and combined with common brandable affixes, compounds and blends. The same keywords always produce the same candidate pool, in the same order.
Each candidate is appraised in your browser by the deterministic engine behind every audit.domains report, and the list is ranked by appraised value weighted by the engine's confidence. Nothing is sent to a server to price it.
Before anything is ranked, the whole pool's DNS is checked through Cloudflare's public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver, and the names with no delegation are shown and ranked first, because those are the ones you can likely register. The registry's own record is looked up only when you ask for it, one name at a time.
How to choose a domain name
- Keep it short and easy to say. A name people can spell after hearing it once survives word of mouth.
- Prefer .com for a business people will find by name: it is the extension they type when nobody tells them otherwise. .io, .ai and .app suit software, and a country extension suits a local business.
- Avoid hyphens and digits. Both get lost when a name is said aloud.
- Check trademarks before you register. A name that collides with an existing brand in your market is a liability, whatever its domain costs.
- Register the domain before you announce the name, so nobody else registers it first.
Domain name generator questions
Is this domain name generator free?
Yes. Candidates are generated and ranked in your browser, with no sign-up and no appraisal credit used.
How do I know if a domain name is available?
The generator checks whether each name has a DNS delegation. A name with none is likely unregistered, but a registered name on hold looks the same, so confirm with the registry or a registrar before you rely on it.
Why is there no price next to each name?
The list ranks by value and shows each name's tier, but keeps the dollar figure in the name's own appraisal, where it comes with its confidence band, factors and comparable sales.
Which domain extension should I choose?
For a business people will find by name, .com is the safest choice because it is what they type by default. Software products often use .io, .ai or .app, and a local business can use its country's extension.
Can I use it as a business name generator?
Yes. Every suggestion is a brandable name with its domain attached, so a name you like already has an address. Check trademarks in your market before you commit to one.
Will the same keywords always give the same names?
The candidates are deterministic: the same keywords and extension always produce the same pool, and the engine gives each name the same tier. Which names lead the list depends on the live DNS check, so it changes as names get registered.
