How the shortlist is decided
Every name is appraised on its own by the same deterministic engine behind each audit.domains report, running in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server to price it, and no appraisal credit is used.
The field is then seeded by appraised value and played out as a single-elimination bracket: value decides each match, the scored factors break a value tie, and a stable hash breaks a full tie. The same list gives the same winner every time.
Registration is a separate lookup against the registry's RDAP record, made only when you press the button for that name. A registered name can still be for sale, and a name with no record may be reserved or restricted, so treat the result as a starting point for the registrar, not an answer.
